MMA (methyl methacrylate) is a cheap acrylic liquid which can lead to the permanent loss of the nail plate. It can also cause loss of sensation in the finger tips. Its manufacture and use have been banned in the United States but it seems to be becoming more popular in the UK due to cheap and unqualified nail technicians using it.
Does your nail technician use liquid with MMA? I DO NOT!
